Klotz, Sakulbunpanich Named to CAA Women’s Golf First Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen junior Ariane Klotz and sophomore Thitaree Sakulbunpanich were each named to the 2019 All-Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf first team on Wednesday.
Klotz, who earns first team All-CAA accolodes for the third consecutive year, led the Blue Hens and set a UD single season record by averaging 73.63 shots per round. She appeared in all nine tournaments for Delaware, recording four top 10 finishes and posting UD's low score five times.
Klotz, the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week on Mar. 6, finished third at the UNF Collegiate, fourth at the Edisto Island Invitational, and tied for fifth at the Blue Hen Invitational. Her 67 during the opening round at UNF is the third lowest in program history.
Sakulbunpanich, a second team All-CAA pick last year when she was named the CAA Rookie of the Year, ranked second on UD and second in a single season with a 73.70 average round. She also competed in all nine invitationals, recording three top 10 finishes on the year.
Sakulbunpanich tied for first place at the Edisto Island Invitational, setting Blue Hen records with a 65 in the second round and a three-round total of 207 while earning CAA Women's Golfer of the Week honors.
Sakulbunpanich currently holds the UD record with a 73.98 career average round, while Klotz ranks second with a 74.46 career stroke average.
