Blue Hens 2019 Volleyball Schedule Announced

NEWARK, Del. – Head coach Sara Matthews and the University of Delaware volleyball program announced the Blue Hens 2019 schedule Wednesday that includes the Delaware Classic and a trip to San Antonio prior to Colonial Athletic Association play.

The season kicks off August 30 at 7 p.m. when Big 12 foe West Virginia travels to the Bob Carpenter Center in the Blue Hens' season-opener and night-cap of day one of the Delaware Classic. The invitational also includes Binghamton and Coppin State for the Friday and Saturday event.

The next three weekends include three more invitationals as Delaware travels to Baltimore, San Antonio and Philadelphia before conference play kicks off with three home matches to open up the CAA slate.

Defending CAA champion Hofstra comes to the Bob Carpenter Center Friday, Oct. 18 and the regular season concludes with a road trip to Northeastern Nov. 15, followed by a matchup with the Pride Nov. 17.

The CAA Tournament is slated for Nov. 22 through 24 on the campus of Hofstra.
