Delaware Named IWLCA Academic Honor Squad; Seven Blue Hens Recognized on Academic Honor Roll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Delaware women's lacrosse tied a program-record with seven student-athletes on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll while the team earned Academic Honor Squad recognition, as announced by the organization Wednesday.

Graduates Sarah Comstock, Maura McNutt and Chantae Simms joined rising seniors Claire D'Antonio, Julia Dambly, Mia DeRuggiero and Sydney Rausa in being acknowledged for their work in the classroom during the 2019-20 campaign.

Comstock, McNutt and Simms were named to the honor roll for the second time in their careers while D'Antonio, Dambly, DeRuggiero and Rausa earned the accolades for the first time.

Student-athletes who had a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater and have obtained at least junior standing academically received the honors.

The Hens were tabbed an Academic Honor Squad for the seventh straight season and were one of 94 Division I programs that registered a team GPA of 3.0 or higher last year.
