Femke Strien Garners Second Straight CAA Player of the Week Award

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware junior Femke Strien continued her hot start to the year by collecting her second straight Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week award Tuesday.
The forward guided the No. 16 Hens to another 2-0 weekend after tallying seven points on three goals and an assist.
Strien tied a season- and career-high with two goals in Friday's 4-0 win over American and added an assist versus the Eagles for a career-high five points.
On Sunday, she posted the game-winning goal in the 36th minute to help Delaware upset No. 9 Penn State, 3-1.
The IJsselstein, The Netherlands native ranks third nationally with 1.25 goals per game and seventh with 2.75 points per.
The Blue Hens face their first road challenge of the season by traveling to No. 19 Rutgers for a 4 p.m. contest Friday in Piscataway, N.J.
