Delaware Opens Fall Season with Third Place Finish at Golfweek Program Championship

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Delaware fired a 290 score during Tuesday's final round to finish in third place at the season-opening Golfweek Program Championship.
The Blue Hens, who carded rounds of 292 and 295 on Monday, finished third out of 15 teams with an 877 total. High Point won the team title with an 872 score, while Marshall placed second at 876.
Ariane Klotz fired an even par 72 during her final round on the par 72, 6,034-yard True Blue course, as she tied for ninth place at the tournament with an even par 70-74-72-216. Klotz recorded six birdies on Tuesday, while adding seven pars on the day.
Thitaree Sakulbunpanich carded the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen, as she shot a one under par 71 featuring birdies on the fourth, fifth and seventh holes. Sakulbunpanich finished in 11th place at the tournament with a one over par 73-73-71-217.
Lene Sperling fired a four over par 72-75-73-220 to tie for 12th place in her UD debut, while fellow freshman Lexi Dart tied for 27th place with an eight over par 77-73-74-224.
Kylie Greulich, playing as an individual, tied for 58th place with a 21 over par 82-81-77-237, while Aashaka Desai tied for 74th place with a 32 over par 86-83-79-248.
Delaware returns to the course on Sept. 23-25 when the Blue Hens compete in the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Vail, Colo.
