No. 9 Delaware Tops No. 21 Rutgers, 1-0

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Redshirt senior Sydney Rhodes notched her sixth career complete game shutout Friday afternoon as the No. 9 Blue Hens held on for the 1-0 victory over No. 21 Rutgers at the Bauer Track & Field Complex.
Rhodes recorded five saves in the team's first road test of the season as Delaware improves to 5-0 on the year.
Junior Sophie Giezeman posted her first career goal for the Blue Hens in the 44th minute. Following a penalty corner, Giezeman collected the rebound off a saved shot from senior Ally Pollak and put it past a Rutgers defender for the score.
