NEW MARKET, Va. – The University of Delaware cross country program got a little taste of what is coming later this season.
On Saturday morning, the Blue Hens lined up with five other CAA teams on this year's CAA championship course in New Market, Va at the JMU Invitational. With a spread of just 14 seconds among its top five runners, Delaware earned a second-place finish. It's the second straight top-two finish for the Blue Hens.
What They Said
"This was the first race of the year for the majority of the team so for them to come out and perform the way they did was impressive. We have some things to improve on heading into the next portion of the season, but we are a strong team with an incredibly tight pack. That will go a long ways as we get to the bigger meets." – Head Coach Ryan Waite
