Sydney Rhodes Honored as CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – The honors keep rolling in for the Blue Hens as redshirt senior Sydney Rhodes was tabbed Tuesday as the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.
A defensive stalwart in goal for the Hens this season, Rhodes notched her sixth career complete game shutout on Friday afternoon as No. 9 Delaware held on for the 1-0 road victory over No. 21 Rutgers. She collected a season-high five saves versus the Scarlet Knights as UD improved to 5-0 on the year.
For the year, Rhodes ranks second nationally with a 0.40 Goals Against Average and 89.5 save percentage. In five games played so far, she has registered three complete game shutouts.
The weekly honor is the second career for Rhodes, who previously was named the CAA Player of the Week on October 16, 2018.
The Hens wrap a two-game road stretch with a 3:30 p.m. contest at Saint Joseph's on Friday.
