Blue Hens Conclude Action at SJU and Yale Tournaments

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware wrapped weekend play with action at both the 11th Annual Saint Joseph's Invitational and the Yale Ivy Plus Tournament.
In Philadelphia, Dominick Perez captured the Flight 3 Consolation title with a semifinals victory over Mary Washington's Andrew Watson, 3-6, 7-5, 10-4 before topping Matthew Jones, 6-3, 6-2, in the final round.
In the Flight 2 Consolation bracket, Justice Jones posted the 6-1, 6-3 semifinals win against La Salle's Gage Sanchez while Milo Nagle defeated Mary Washington's Michael Fleming, 1-6, 6-, 10-6. The pair did not compete in the final's matchup.
In New Haven, Conn., the Blue Hens went 3-1 in singles play. James Wilkinson pulled out a hard-fought 5-7, 7-6 (0), 6-2 triumph against Yale's Cody Lin. Guilherme Valdoleiros recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win over Boston Univ.'s Marc Sable and Nathan Benyowitz outdid Yale's Daniel Gale, 7-6 (3), 6-3.
