Blue Hens Third After First Day of Season-Opening Golfweek Program Championship

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The University of Delaware women's golf team opened its 2019 fall season with a pair of impressive rounds as the Blue Hens ended the first day of the Golfweek Program Championship in third place.
Delaware fired rounds of 292 and 295 on Monday, finishing the day in third place out of 15 squads with a 587 total. Florida Atlantic leads the field at 585, followed by High Point at 586 and the Blue Hens.
Ariane Klotz carded an even par 70-74-144 on the par 72, 6,034-yard True Blue course, ending Monday's action in a tie for seventh place. Klotz recorded five consecutive birdies on the seventh through 11th holes during her opening round, before adding 16 pars on her second round of the day.
Thitaree Sakulbunpanich shot a pair of 73 rounds to finish the day in a tie for 12th place at two over par, while Lene Sperling is tied for 15th place with a three over par 72-75-147.
Lexi Dart is tied for 26th place at the tournament with a six over par 77-73-150 while Kylie Greulich, playing as an individual, sits in 71st place with a 19 over par 82-81-163. Aashaka Desai ended the day in 75th place with a 25 over par 86-83-169.
The final round of the invitational will take place on Tuesday.
