Kurtz Takes Home CAA Player of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – For the second time in three weeks, the University of Delaware men's lacrosse program took home CAA Player of the Week accolades.
This time, it was sophomore attackman Tye Kurtz, who finished last week with six goals and four assists in the Blue Hens' two games. It's the second CAA Player of the Week honor of Kurtz's career, the last coming in a win at Fairfield in 2019.
Kurtz led the Blue Hens in a dominating 11-2 victory at Monmouth, in which he scored a season-high five goals and two assists.
In addition to his goals and assists last week, Kurtz also picked up five ground balls and forced a turnover.
For the year, Kurtz ranks second on the team and sixth in the CAA in points per game, totaling eight goals, eight assists and 16 points in Delaware's four games.
In just 19 career games, he has piled up 39 goals, 29 assists and 68 points for the Blue Hens.
Kurtz and his teammates will host #15 Villanova this weekend at Delaware Stadium. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
