WILMINGTON, Del. – Delaware continues to re-write the record books and Sunday was no different as the Blue Hens defeated Drexel, 6-1, at DuPont Country Club.
The win was the 14
th straight for the Hens, which bests Delaware's previous record of 13 straight set during the 1981-82 season.
The Blue Hens have also now won three Colonial Athletic Association matches in the same season for the first time since 2011 and topped the Dragons for the first time since 2013.
Delaware entered singles play up, 1-0, after capturing the team doubles point for the 11
th time this season.
Luis Molina cruised to the No. 2 singles win for his team-leading 17
th triumph of the year before
James Wilkinson picked up his seventh straight top-flight victory.
Guilherme Valdoleiros clinched the win in No. 4 singles while
Liam Hedlund and
Justice Jones also earned victories for Delaware.
