Six Blue Hens Receive CRCA Scholar-Athlete Recognition

NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware rowing program had six members awarded with CRCA Scholar-Athlete status following the shortened 2019-20 season.

Sophomore Madeline Curran is a double major in international relations and organizational and community leadership. She earned a 4.0 GPA for the fall semester and carries a 3.77 cumulative GPA.

Sophomore Shannon Gibbons has a 3.69 cumulative GPA as a nursing major while making the Dean's List for the fall semester.

Junior Hannah Kirk is a double major in criminal justice and energy and environmental policy and earned a 4.0 GPA in the fall. Her cumulative GPA sits at 3.98 at the University.

Junior Caroline Popielaski is a pharmacy major and earned a 3.78 in the fall with her cumulative sitting north of 3.5.

Sophomore Julia Rothstein earned a 4.0 GPA for the fall as an actuarial sciences major with her cumulative GPA marked at 3.97.

Senior Isadora Weinfeld is a nursing major also had a 4.0 mark for the fall semester while carrying a 3.67 cumulative GPA.

To be named a scholar-athlete, student-athletes must be in their second, third or fourth year of NCAA eligibility, must be "ranked" in the top 50% of their team and carry at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
