Brendon Post Promoted to Men’s and Women’s Golf Associate Head Coach/Director of Player Development

NEWARK, Del. – Brendon Post has been promoted to University of Delaware Men's and Women's Golf Associate Head Coach/Director of Player Development, head coach Patty Post announced Wednesday.
Brendon Post begins his fourth year in a full-time role for both golf programs in 2020-21 after serving six seasons as an assistant coach with the women's program from 2011-17.
The Blue Hens have been an annual CAA contender during the first nine years of the women's program, with Post helping UD win conference titles in 2016 and 2017. Patty Post was named CAA Coach of the Year during both seasons, while Brendon helped her earn her second LPGA T&CP Northeast Section Coach of the Year honor in 2018.
The 2018-19 squad set a school mark by averaging 77.07 shots per round, while Thitaree Sakulbunpanich fired a single round record 65 at the Edisto Island Invitational on Mar. 31.
Post has also helped lead a resurgence in the men's program over the last four seasons, as the Blue Hens have posted nine top-10 finishes during each of the previous two years.
Last season UD set a school record with a 74.21 team stroke average, and also established a program mark with a 267 during the final round of the Loyola Intercollegiate. Roberto Nieves, who earned medalist honors at the tournament, set a single season record with a 70.65 stroke average. He also tied the single round record with a 64 at the Golfweek Program Championship, and carded the two lowest three-round scores in program history.
"Brendon is very deserving of this position," Patty Post said. "He started the journey of developing the Delaware women's golf program from scratch with me almost 10 years ago as our volunteer assistant. He was promoted to part-time assistant and then to full-time assistant along the way. I am very proud of what we have accomplished with the Delaware women's golf team and know that his responsibilities and efforts were very instrumental in that progression. We were extremely excited to be asked to work with our Delaware men's golf program and are seeing the same sort of progression in these young men, no doubt, with great effort from Coach Brendon. This promotion is a small token of our appreciation."
