Delaware Announces 2021 Women's Lacrosse Schedule

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware women's lacrosse head coach Amy Altig announced an 11-game schedule for 2021 Friday afternoon.
"We are thrilled to announce our 2021 schedule!" Altig said. "This team is excited and grateful for the opportunity to compete and represent the University of Delaware this spring. We know that changes may come this season, but we will be looking forward to making the most of each moment we have as a team."
The Blue Hens play seven non-conference contests to complement a four-game Colonial Athletic Association slate.
Delaware opens 2021 with three non-conference home games at Delaware Stadium. The season-opener will be Saturday, Feb. 20 against Temple, followed by games against La Salle on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Georgetown on Friday, March 5.
The Hens hit the road for the first time on March 17 with a game at Saint Joseph's, and return to Delaware Stadium on March 21 to host Coastal Carolina. Delaware hosts Towson on March 27 in the first CAA game of the season, and the first of two games against the Tigers this season. The Blue Hens then open April at American on April 7.
The heart of the conference schedule begins in mid-April, with a home game against Drexel on April 11 and a road game at Hofstra on April 15. The final non-conference game of the year sees Delaware hosting Penn on April 28, before the Blue Hens travel to Towson on May 1 to close out the regular season.
Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, opponents, times and dates are all subject to change. Information regarding spectators at home games, and the CAA Championship, will be released in the coming weeks.
