Emil Vasko Named CAA Diver of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - Junior Emil Vasko of the men's diving team was named CAA Diver of the Week announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Vasko recorded a pair of first-place finishes on the 1-meter board to open the season for the Blue Hens.

The West Chester, Pa., native posted a score of 213.3 to take first place in a meet against George Mason on Oct. 9, and also placed first in a competition against Johns Hopkins and UMBC on Oct. 2 with a score of 236.25.

Delaware defeated Mason (185-106), UMBC (169-131) and Johns Hopkins (158-136) to start the season.

The swimming and diving squads are back in action Saturday, Nov. 6, for the POD Meet in Wilmington, N.C. through Nov. 7.
