Delaware Ties for Fifth Place at Lady Blue Hen Invitational

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Delaware women's golf team tied for fifth place this weekend at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational.
The Blue Hens carded a 309 score during Sunday's final round to tie for fifth out of 12 squads with a 918 total. Princeton won the team title with an 891 score, finishing 11 shots ahead of Harvard.
UD sophomore Oihana Etxezarreta fired an 80 during her final round on the par 72, 6,169-yard Rehoboth Beach Country Club course, tying for third place among individuals with a seven over par 71-72-80=223.
Alisa Khokhlova tied for 12th place with a 10 over par 72-78-76=226, while Christina Carroll tied for 28th place with an 18 over par 77-78-79=234. Anna Kittelson posted the best round of the day by a Blue Hen with a 75, as she tied for 37th place with a 20 over par 78-83-75=236.
Lexi Dart, playing as an individual, tied for 42nd place with a 21 over par 81-77-79=237, while Lilia Henkel tied for 51st place with a 25 over par 79-83-79=241. Also playing as individuals, Liz Coffren carded a 28 over par 79-84-81=244 to tie for 57th place while Lene Sperling carded a 32 over par 89-79-80=248 to finish in 65th place.
Tiffany Kong of Princeton was the tournament medalist by finishing at five over par, one shot ahead of her teammate Yanjun Liu.
Delaware concludes its fall season on Nov. 8-9 when the Blue Hens compete in the Mercer Invitational in Macon, Ga.
