Women's Swimming and Diving In First Place at Patriot Invite

FAIRFAX, Va. -Â The Delaware women's swimming and diving team finished the first day of the Patriot Invite in first place of seven teams with 263.50 points.Â
Mira Selling had the top finish of the day for the Blue Hens, placing second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.11 in A Final. Aislinn Mitchell finished close behind, placing third in 2:04.94. Erin Lillis was the third Blue Hen in the top-five with a time of 2:05.70, placing fifth.
In the 200 Free Relay, Nicole Chiappa, Kaitlyn Sullivan, Natalie Dobrzykowski and Selling placed fourth in 1:34.08. The 400 Medley Relay team of Kayla Borrero, Lillis, Mitchell and Dobrzykowski also placed fourth with a time of 3:48.48.
In the 500 Free, Dobrzykowski had the top finish for Delaware, placing seventh in the A Final in 5:00.46. Chiappa had the top time in the 50 Free (23.71), placing 10th in the B Final.
In 1-meter diving, Julia Servas had the top mark for the Blue Hens with a score of 255.65 good for a second place finish. Ella Drazek (240.90) and Jenna Loquercio (234.75) accompanied Servas in the top-five, placing fourth and fifth respectively in 1-meter competition.Â
Tomorrow the Blue Hens have the 200 Medley Relay, 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, 800 Free Relay and 3-meter diving on the schedule for the second day of the Patriot Invite.Â
