Blue Hens Remain in First After Second Day of Patriot Invite

FAIRFAX, Va. - After the second day of competition at the Patriot Invite, the Delaware women's swimming and diving team remains in first place with 616 points, 110 points ahead of the next team.
In 3-meter diving, Rowan O'Sullivan placed third in the finals, with the Blue Hens' top mark of 252.10. Julia Servas (245.80) placed fourth, Ella Drazek (239.75) placed fifth and Jenna Loquercio (223.75) placed sixth in the finals. In prelims, Jordan Campbell placed ninth with a score of 212.90.
In the 200 Medley Relay, Kayla Borrero, Andromachi Tasakou, Aislinn Mitchell and Jenna Leonard placed fourth in the finals with a time of 1:44.95. Cristin Earley, Marietta Gately, Kelsie Drennen and Kaitlyn Sullivan finished close behind in fifth in 1:45.40.
Erin Lillis took a sixth place finish in the 400 IM (A Final) in 4:29.00. Charlise Oberholzer placed 12th in the B Final in 4:31.22.
In the 100 Fly, Mitchell hit the wall fifth in the A Final (55.53) and Julia Cichowska placed 10th in the B Final (56.04).
Mira Selling (1:49.24) and Natalie Dobrzykowski (1:50.13) placed first and second respectively in the 200 Free A Final. Anthi Lyra placed sixth in the A Final with a time of 1:51.91.
In the 100 Breaststroke, Tasakou hit the wall first in the A Final with a time of 1:02.31, a new freshman record. Leonard (1:04.73) and Lillis (1:05.15) placed sixth and seventh in the A Final. Taylor Draganosky took ninth in the B Final in 1:04.75 with Gately taking 11th in 1:05.56.
Earley tied for third in the 100 Back A Final with a time of 56.35 and Borrero took seventh in 57.68.
In the 800 Free Relay, Dobrzykowski, Lyra, Oberholzer and Selling placed second with a time of 7:26.43 to close out the day.Â
The Blue Hens have the 1,650 Free, 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly and 400 Free Relay on the schedule for the final day of the Patriot Invite.Â
