WILMINGTON, N.C. – The University of Delaware women's swimming & diving team wrapped up competition at the CAA Pod Meet on Sunday. Swimming at the Seahawk Natatorium, the Blue Hens fell to conference foes William & Mary (198-148), UNC Wilmington (244-108) and James Madison (252-100).
"I'm happy and proud how both teams continued to fight on the final session," said head coach Pablo Marmolejo. "Each session we got better and we had some very good races today. It takes a lot of effort and discipline to travel this far and get better as you go. We're very happy with our results and excited to see our program improve the next two weekends to close our competition schedule for the fall."
Mira Selling won her third event of the weekend when she was the first to the wall in the 200-yard butterfly, winning by more than two seconds with a commanding time of 2:02.39.
Natalie Dobrzykowski was Delaware's top finisher in the first event of the day, touching the wall in 5:06.34 to place fourth in the 500-yard freestyle.
Andromachi Tasakou clocked in at 2:25.58 in the 200-yard breaststroke to finish fourth, while Crissy Earley placed fifth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:06.48.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Nicole Chiappa, Dobrzykowski, Anthi Lyra and Selling finished in 3:31.13 to place fourth.
