UD Pitcher Emily Winburn Named CAA Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen pitcher Emily Winburn was named the Colonial Athletic Association Softball Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
Winburn allowed just three singles and did not walk a batter while striking out eight to earn a shutout in Delaware's 2-0 win over UAlbany on Sunday.
Winburn is 2-0 on the young season, posting a 1.11 ERA by allowing two runs in 12.2 innings of work. The shutout of UAlbany was the second of her career.
The Blue Hens, who are 5-0 on the year, host Lehigh and Bucknell in a pair of 12 noon doubleheaders this weekend.
