Roberto Nieves Named CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen junior Roberto Nieves was named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Nieves tied for sixth place among individuals at the Villanova Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday by carding a three over par 70-73-143 on the par 70, 6,484-yard Radnor Valley Country Club course. He posted four birdies during his opening round, before adding one during the second round of the tournament.

Nieves helped the Blue Hens finish tied for ninth in the team standings. He earned his fourth career CAA Men's Golfer of the Week award, and currently leads the team with a 71.36 stroke average this season.
