Delaware Ranked 13th in National Polls

NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware men's lacrosse team moved up three spots to No. 13 in the USILA Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll after a thrilling 14-13 overtime road victory against No. 17 Hofstra this past Saturday.
Delaware additionally checked in as the No. 13-ranked team in the U.S. Lacrosse Magazine weekly rankings.
It's the sixth consecutive week that the Blue Hens find themselves ranked inside the top-20 in the national polls.
Delaware currently sits atop the CAA standings with a 5-1 record in conference action with two regular season games left on the slate.
Heading into the week, the Blue Hens rank 16th in Division I in scoring offense (14.00 goals per game) and 28th in scoring defense (10.70 goals allowed per game) for the 16th-best scoring margin (+3.30). Delaware additionally ranks 14th in clearing percentage (.877), 18th in ground balls per tilt (33.30) and 36th in caused turnovers per game (7.70).
The Blue Hens will head on the road one final time during the 2021 regular season to take on Towson this Saturday at noon in Towson, Md. The Tigers have won three straight and four of their last five outings with a pair of wins over ranked opponents. Â
