Adair Named Head of the Class by Achieving Coaching Excellence

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Delaware's Natasha Adair earned a spot on the Achieving Coaching Excellence® College Basketball Coaching Honor Roll and was named one of two Head of Class women's basketball head coaches, the organization announced Friday.
Adair's honor comes after leading the Blue Hens to the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) semifinals, after winning the Charlotte Region Championship. Delaware won the Colonial Athletic Association regular-season crown, finished with a 24-5 overall record and a 16-2 conference mark. Adair earned the CAA Coach of the Year honor, coached junior guard Jasmine Dickey to CAA Player of the Year accolades, and led the Blue Hens to the title game of the CAA Championship.
Delaware won its first conference championship since 2012-13 and posted its best overall and CAA record. With wins over both an ACC team and a Big East team this season, the Blue Hens put the icing on the cake with an undefeated home record of 11-0 for the first time since 2011-12.
Adair was joined by Missouri State's Amaka Agugua-Hamilton as the Head of the Class women's basketball honorees. South Carolina's Dawn Staley earned the top honor in 2020.
The Coaching Honor Roll recognizes leaders in women's and men's college basketball that demonstrate tenets of coaching excellence that include on and off the court performance, community involvement, and serving as champions for college basketball, their coaching peers and the coaching profession.
