Nieves, Kedzlie Among Top 10 Following Second Day of CAA Championship

ST. HELENA ISLAND, S.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team sits in sixth place while Roberto Nieves and Hugo Kedzlie are both among the top 10 individuals following Monday's second round of the CAA Championship.
After carding a 304 score on Sunday, the Blue Hens improved with a 293 tally on Monday, finishing the day in sixth place out of eight teams with a 597 total. College of Charleston easily leads the field at 557, while Drexel is second with a 574 score.
Nieves posted a two under par 70 during his second round on the par 72, 6,787-yard Cotton Dike Course at Dataw Island Club, and is tied for seventh place with a two under 72-70-142. Nieves was three under for the day at the turn following birdies on the first, third and eighth holes, and capped his round with a birdie on the 18th hole.
Kedzlie also carded a 70 on Tuesday and is tied for ninth place among individuals with a one under par 73-70-143. He opened his round with birdies on three of the first four holes, and also birdied 16 and 18 to conclude his day.
RJ Wren, who has carded a 79-77-156, and Owen Manchester, who has shot an 80-76-156, and both tied for 28th place at 12 over par. Elliot Haas sits in 37th place with a 27 over par 83-88-171.
The final round of the championship will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
