Delaware Ranked in National Polls

NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware men's lacrosse team jumped one spot to No. 12 in the USILA Coaches Poll and was ranked 14th in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll following a 16-8 CAA road victory over Towson on Saturday.
Delaware additionally checked in as the No. 12-ranked team in the U.S. Lacrosse Magazine weekly rankings.
It's the seventh consecutive week that the Blue Hens find themselves ranked inside the top-20 in the national polls.
Delaware currently sits atop the CAA standings with a 6-1 record in conference action with one final regular season game left on the slate.
Heading into the week, the Blue Hens rank 12th in Division I in scoring offense (14.18 goals per game) and 29th in scoring defense (10.45 goals allowed per game) for the 13th-best scoring margin (+3.73). Delaware additionally ranks 10th in clearing percentage (.884), 18th in ground balls per tilt (33.73) and 36th in caused turnovers per game (7.64).
The Blue Hens will close out the 2021 regular season by welcoming CAA foe UMass to Delaware Stadium for a Friday night contest slated for 5 p.m. A win against the Minutemen will make Delaware the CAA regular season champions. Â Â
