Grant and Kitchen Earn USILA All-American Honors

NEWARK, Del. - Junior Owen Grant and graduate student Charlie Kitchen of the Delaware men's lacrosse team received USILA All-American honorable mention on Thursday afternoon.
It marks the first time since 2010 that two Blue Hens earned USILA All-American recognition in the same season.
Grant pieced together a standout junior campaign, finishing third in Division I in caused turnovers per game (2.36) and leading the nation's 17th-best scoring defense. He tied the Delaware single-season program record for caused turnovers with 26. The third-year defenseman led the Blue Hens and ranked fifth in the CAA with 3.82 ground balls per game. Grant also contributed on the offensive end with four points on three goals and an assist.
Kitchen showed out in his final campaign for Delaware, leading the Blue Hens with 55 points on 28 goals and 27 assists. He finished first in the CAA and ninth nationally with 5.00 points per game, while ranking second in the conference and 13th in Division I in assists per game (2.55). The Marlton, N.J., native tallied a point in all 11 outings and capped his career by ranking third in program history in career points, fourth in career goals and sixth in career assists.
