Robinson Reels in CAA Rookie of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – For the third time this season, Mike Robinson of the Delaware men's lacrosse team was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week.
Robinson is the second Delaware rookie this year to be named a three-time rookie of the week, joining teammate Cam Acchione. The Blue Hens have now compiled six rookie of the week honors this season, marking the most in program history since 2004 when Cam Howard '08 and Alex Smith '07 combined for six.
In a 9-6 home win against UMass on Friday night, Robinson paced the offensive attack by scoring a game-high three goals. He also recorded a career-best nine ground balls in the contest.
The Peterborough, Ont., native has tallied a hat trick in nine outings this season and is tied for second in Division I in goals scored with 42.Â
Robinson and the Blue Hens return to action on Thursday when they open the CAA Tournament with a semifinal round matchup against Hofstra slated for 4 p.m. in Hempstead, N.Y.
