NEWARK, Del. - Delaware Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Amy Altig announced the addition of Lizzie Yurchak to the 2022 roster.
"Lizzie is bringing her midfield talents, high energy, and enthusiasm from Campbell to the University of Delaware," said Altig. "Lizzie's goal-scoring, draw controls and overall athletic IQ will boost Delaware's midfield. She had a solid freshman showing that resulted in her being named to the All-Big South First Team. Her mom graduated from Delaware, and UD's bioengineering program was an exceptional draw to round out her decision to join us."
Yurchak joins the Blue Hens after finishing her freshman year at Campbell University, earning All-Big South First Team honors and starting in all 15 games for the Camels. She ranked among the NCAA's top-100 in assists (21), draw controls (65) and ground balls (33), adding 42 points with 21 goals and 16 caused turnovers.
The Landisville, Pa., native attended Hempfield High School where she was named a US Lacrosse All-American as a junior netting 101 goals, with 27 assists, 84 draw controls, 32 caused turnovers and 37 ground balls. She played for the Xtreme Lacrosse club team and also lettered in soccer and basketball at Hempfield.
