Penn State Transfer Joins Delaware Women's Lacrosse

NEWARK, Del. - Delaware Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Amy Altig welcomes junior transfer, Sydni Rosa, to the team for the 2022 season.
"Sydni Rosa is bringing her Big Ten experience to UD after two years of playing at Penn State," said Altig. "She played against high-caliber competition and brings an exceptional lacrosse background to the CAA. She's an intense competitor with a great work ethic, as she'll add depth to our midfield. I look forward to her bringing her positive vibe and energy to our program."
Rosa comes to Newark after two seasons at Penn State University as a midfielder. During her time at Penn State, Rosa appeared in 13 games recording one ground ball, five draw controls, and two caused turnovers.
The Towson, Md., native attended Notre Dame Prep where she served as a team captain for two years, leading the Blazers to a 17-4 record, an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Championship and a No. 1 national ranking by Inside Lacrosse in 2018. Rosa was rated a four-star prospect by Inside Lacrosse and notched 15 goals, seven assists and 68 draws as a senior.
