Nieves Wins Individual Title at Wildcat Fall Invitational

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Blue Hen senior Roberto Nieves won the individual title by finishing at six under par this week at the Wildcat Fall Invitational.

After carding rounds of 66 and 67 on Monday, Nieves fired a 71 on Tuesday on the par 70, 6,572-yard Radnor Valley Country Club course. His 204 score is the second lowest three-round total in program history, behind only his 202 at the Golfweek Program Challenge in 2019.

Nieves, who earned medalist honors for the second time in his career along with the Loyola Intercollegiate on Feb. 22-24, 2020, finished one shot ahead of Rhode Island's Brandon Gillis.

Sparky Ariyachatvakin, who recorded a 73 during his final round, finished in seventh place with a four over par 72-69-73-214.

Michal Bargenda tied for 18th place with a 12 over par 74-73-75-222, while Hugo Kedzlie tied for 23rd place with a 13 over par 73-76-74-223. Egor Zubov carded a 24 over par 82-67-85-234 to finish in a tie for 37th place.

Delaware placed third out of nine squads with an 854 team total. Drexel claimed the team title with an 846 score, followed by Rhode Island at 852 and the Blue Hens.
