Roberto Nieves Named CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week for Third Time

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware senior Roberto Nieves has been named Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for the third time this fall, the league announced Wednesday.
Nieves won the individual title at the Wildcat Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday by finishing with a six under par 204 on the par 70, 6,572-yard Radnor Valley Country Club Course. Nieves carded rounds of 66 and 67 on Monday, while his 204 score is the second lowest three-round total in program history, a record he already holds.
Nieves, who earned medalist honors for the second time in his career along with the Loyola Intercollegiate on Feb. 22-24, 2020, led the Blue Hens to a third place team finish at the tournament.
Nieves, who earned the award for the third time this fall, shared this week's honor with Zach Reuland of Charleston.
