Blue Hens Voted No. 16 in Inside Lacrosse Preseason D1 Media Poll

NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware men's lacrosse team earned recognition in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Division I Media Poll with a No. 16 ranking, announced today by the organization.
Once again, the Blue Hens, who bring back a huge chunk of their roster from a year ago, are the top-ranked Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) team, as Drexel was voted two spots behind Delaware at No. 18. The defending CAA regular-season champions recorded a 7-1 mark in conference play last season, as they open the 2022 campaign at home on Saturday, Feb. 5 versus NJIT.
The Blue Hens are scheduled to face a trio of ranked opponents in 2022 – at No. 3 Duke (Feb. 22), vs. No. 19 Johns Hopkins (Mar. 20), and at No. 18 Drexel (Apr. 23).
Last week, Owen Grant, Mike Robinson, and Tye Kurtz all earned Inside Lacrosse Media Preseason All-America Team honors. Delaware was also ranked No. 16 in the USA Lacrosse Preseason Magazine Poll earlier this month.
