Men’s Lacrosse Tabbed No. 16 in USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Polls

SPARKS, Md. – The Delaware men's lacrosse team earned preseason recognition in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Magazine preseason top 20 polls, as they enter the season ranked No. 16.
The Blue Hens' No. 16 ranking is the top-ranking amongst all Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) teams, while Drexel was slotted No. 17. The defending CAA regular-season champions boasted a 7-1 mark in league play last season, as they return to the field on Saturday, Feb. 5 versus NJIT.
Delaware has three ranked opponents on its 2022 schedule – at No. 3 Duke (Feb. 22), vs. No. 15 Johns Hopkins (Mar. 20), and at No. 17 Drexel (Apr. 23).
In December, Owen Grant, the reigning CAA Defensive Player of the Year, was named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-America Third Team.
