Blue Hens Fall to Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. - Delaware women's soccer fell on the road to Northeastern, 3-0, in their final Colonial Athletic Association away game of the regular season.Â
Northeastern scored its first goal of the game in the first minute to take an early lead over the Blue Hens that held through the half. The Huskies added a second goal in the the 55th minute and another with 30 seconds left in the game to come away with a three-goal win over Delaware.Â
Mia Reed started at the goalkeeper spot making one save and allowing one goal in the first period. Odaliana Gomez started the second half in the net for the Blue Hens. The freshman made five saves. Delaware falls to 2-10-5 and 1-5-2 in CAA play. Julianna Bell led all Blue Hens with four shots while Izzy Lane had two.Â
Northeastern improves to 8-4-3 and 5-1-1 in league play. The Huskies led 19-9 in shots and 7-3 in corner kicks.Â
Delaware will then return to Grant Stadium to host Drexel on Senior Day (Oct. 23).
