NEWARK, Del. – The most anticipated conference series is HERE!! The University of Delaware volleyball team returns to Newark and open their four-match homestand against the three-time CAA defending champions Towson in a weekend series Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9 inside Bob Carpenter Center.

What You Need to Know:
- This will be the 92nd meeting between Delaware and Towson, with the Tigers holding a 51-40 all-time record.
- Delaware will look to avenge the last time they met Towson, where the Blue Hens fell in straight-sets in the conference tournament semis a season ago (Nov. 19). The last time Delaware captured a victory in Newark was during the 2010 campaign with a four-set win on Sept. 24.
- The Blue Hens are rolling hot where the squad will be entering the weekend on a nine-match winning streak (10-4), going 27-4 in sets, and is one of three remaining CAA teams that are undefeated in conference play (6-0).
- The last time Delaware hit the floor was at Charleston on Monday, where the Blue Hens swept the season series with a 3-0 win on Oct. 3. The Blue Hens opened the series against the Cougars on Oct. 2 with a come-from-behind thrilling victory, headlined by another stellar, career-best and new program record 38-kill performance by Lani Mason.
- Mason's impressive performance earned her the right to call herself CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday (Oct. 3) and then on Tuesday (Oct. 4) GameChanger/AVCA National Player of the Week.
- Towson, who is coming in with the nation's longest winning streak kicking off the season 16-0, last time out was against conference newcomer North Carolina A&T. The Tigers opened at home with a 3-0 victory over the Aggies on Oct. 1 and then closed out the series in four on Oct. 2.
- The statline at Charleston: Mason led the way with 16 kills to go along with nine digs, two aces and one block; Savannah Seemans followed with 13 digs, nine kills and three blocks; Lily Rogers was in charge of the Blue Hen offense and dished out 30 assists to go with 11 digs to post her first double-double season while Eileen Gex scooped up 16 digs to anchor the Blue Hen defense. Standing tall was Lauryn Richardson and Pearce Auiger, who both had five blocks apiece.
- Mason leads the nation in kills per set (5.63) while ranking second in points per set (6.11), fifth in total kills (293), ninth in points (317.5) and 13th in attacks per set (12.00).
