Jenkins Inks Three On First National Signing Day at Delaware

NEWARK, Del. – Women's basketball head coach Sarah Jenkins has inked the first three National Letters of Intent to join her program as Ande'a "Shaq" Cherisier, Darrionna Howard and Grace Sundback have signed to become Blue Hens. The trio will join the Blue & Gold beginning with the 2023-24 campaign.
"All three of these young ladies have the capability to make an immediate impact in our program," said Jenkins. "They are all hard workers and natural competitors and I am excited for what the future holds for us."

I was looking for a place where there was a family atmosphere, a coaching staff that was supportive and transparent. I loved the talent that's on the team and the team made me feel right at home. All good vibes!!!!! Delaware plays in a competitive conference, they strive for excellence and they compete at a high level. I knew that this was the place for me. Can't wait until 2023-24 WBB Season. "Fear The Bird" Go Hens!

I know that being at Delaware will make me a better person, and better basketball player. I believe that by working with them I will reach my full potential. I can be my true self around everyone there and that is a big thing for me. I could not be more ecstatic for my choice! Go Hens!"
