LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – Jameer Nelson Jr.'s last-second tip-in lifts Delaware (8-4) to its fifth-straight win, downing Rider (4-5) 60-59, on Monday night.

The Blue Hens found their stride in the middle portion of the first half, responding with an 8-2 run of their own to pull within one by the under-eight media timeout.
Rider and Delaware fought hard in the end of the half, as an Ebby Asamoah three-ball made it a two-point affair heading into the break, 30-28 in favor of the hosts.
Rider narrowly out shot Delaware from both the field and three-point range, shooting at a 38.2 percent rate overall and an even 30-percent from three. Jameer Nelson Jr. led the way for UD with 10 points.
An equal 15 points apiece through the initial 6:12 of the second stanza kept things a two-point contest, 45-43.
