Another Preseason All-America Honor for Grant

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Delaware men's lacrosse defender Owen Grant was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Associate (USILA) Pre-Season All-America list, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Grant, the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and Preseason All-CAA team member, returns for his senior campaign with the Blue Hens.
A native of Newmarket, Ontario, Grant is a top defender in Division I. Grant earned a trio of All-America honors in 2021. He tied the single-season UD record for caused turnovers with 26 and led the CAA and ranked third nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.36). Grant recorded 42 ground balls and registered four points on three goals and an assist during his junior season at UD.
Grant has also earned Inside Lacrosse Preseason Media All-America Team. The Blue Hens were slotted No. 19 in the USILA Preseason Poll that was announced on Monday.
