Men’s Lacrosse Maintains Top 20 Status in Weekly Rankings

NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware men's lacrosse team is off to a 2-0 start to begin the 2022 campaign. After a pair of victories at home, the Blue Hens were voted No. 14 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll, No. 17 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Poll, and No. 18 in the Inside Lacrosse Poll.
The Blue Hens opened the season with a 19-9 rout over visiting NJIT. Delaware began the game on a 7-0 run, as Mike Robinson led the way with six goals. Delaware had nine different players record a goal and six different Blue Hens register an assist.
Delaware then returned to the field, where it topped Mount St. Mary's 12-6. Goalkeeper Matt Kilkeary held the Mountaineers scoreless through the first quarter, as he finished with 16 saves, one shy of his career high.
The Blue Hens make their first road trip of the season, when they play at Saint Joseph's Tuesday afternoon.
