Dickey Takes Home #CAAHoops Player of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, VA. – For the second-straight week, the University of Delaware women's basketball senior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Week, announced by league officials Monday afternoon. This is Dickey's fourth weekly distinction this season.
As part of Delaware's three-straight road wins in five days slate, Dickey led the way by averaging 26.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.7 steals, 2.0 assists, 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 42.4 percent (28-of-66) from the field and 91.3 (21-of-23) from the free-throw line.
Dickey opened the week with 29 points (9-of-10 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block to lead the Blue Hens to the thrilling 81-78 road win over Towson (Feb. 9). She followed with a 14-point and 10-rebound performance to post her fifth consecutive double-double (11th on the season) in Delaware's 66-63 victory at Northeastern (Feb. 11). She add two steals to her stat line. Dickey closed out the week at Hofstra (Feb. 13) with 36 points (13-of-23 FG, 2-of-4 3FG, 8-of-9 FT), seven rebounds (five offensive), four steals and three blocks in the 71-58 road win, extending the team's winning streak to eight games.
On the season, the Baltimore, Md. native is averaging 25. 5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 40.3 percent (199-of-494) from the field, 32.7 percent (18-of-55) from three-point territory and 81.9 percent (145-of-177) from the charity stripe.
Dickey leads the conference in points per game and total points (561) while ranking among the league leaders in free throw percentage (2nd), minutes per game (2nd, 36.0), rebounding (3rd), blocked shots (t-5th), steals (t-7th) and field goal percentage (9th).
Dickey leads the nation in field-goal attempts while ranking among the NCAA Division I leaders in free throw attempts (2nd), free throws made (2nd), points per game (3rd), final points (3rd) and field goals made (5th).

Dickey and the Blue Hens will return to campus Sunday, Feb. 20, to host the defending champions Drexel in a NGWSD/Play4Kay showdown inside Bob Carpenter Center. Opening tip is slated for 1 p.m.
