Delaware closed within a pair late in the half, before Drexel scored the final seven points of the period to take a 45-36 advantage into the break.
The Dragons went up double digits early in the second half before the Blue Hens countered with a nine-point spurt to make it a 51-50 game at the 14:14 mark.
Delaware was still within two at 56-54 with 12 minutes to play, but the Blue Hens then went nearly six minutes without a field goal and Drexel took advantage, extending the margin to 68-56. UD later cut a 10-point deficit to five at 68-63 with 3:53 on the clock, before Xavier Bell and Martin answered with jumpers to put the Dragons back up nine.

Martin Ingelsby
"Give credit to Drexel, they were ready to play and got off to a better start than us. Andrew Carr was fabulous but we have to get back to trusting our offense. We took some quick shots, and 42 percent won't beat a team like that. We needed to be better defensively; allowing 45 points in the first half isn't good enough. We've lost two tough ones in a row in our building, and need to be tougher mentally and physically."
