Nieves Fires 66 During Final Round of UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Blue Hen senior Roberto Nieves carded a six under par 66 during Monday's final round of the UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate.
Nieves fired seven birdies while making just one bogey on the par 72, 6,960-yard Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall, tying for his lowest round of the year. He tied for 13th place among individuals with a one over par 75-76-66=217 at the tournament.
Sparky Ariyachatvakin, who recorded five birdies on Tuesday, tied for 23rd place with a four over par 73-74-73=220. Michal Bargenda carded a 14 over par 78-78-74=230 to finish in 61st place at the invitational.
Egor Zubov tied for 68th place with a 19 over par 83-77-75=235, while Owen Manchester tied for 74th place with a 24 over par 81-75-84=240.
Delaware's third round team score of 288 was tied for the second lowest on the day, as the Blue Hens finished 11th out of 14 teams with an 897 total. The host Seahawks won the team title with an 853 score, finishing 13 shots ahead of second place VCU.
UD returns to the course on Apr. 4-5 when the Blue Hens compete in the Redhawk Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course in Seattle, Wash.
