Schedule Adjusted for Blue Hen Invitational

NEWARK, Del. – The schedule for the Delaware softball team's home-opening Blue Hen Invitational has been adjusted due to inclement weather expected on Saturday. The Blue Hens will now play a doubleheader against Penn State on Friday afternoon and a doubleheader against Canisius on Sunday afternoon.
Both doubleheaders will begin at 12 p.m. and be played at the Delaware Softball Stadium. Game two on each day will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Live stats and a subscription-based video stream through FloSports will be available at BlueHens.com.
The Blue Hens are 12-6 on the season following a 4-1 showing at the FAU Parents' Weekend Tournament last weekend. Senior Brittney Mendoza was named the CAA Player of the Week on Tuesday after batting .563 (9-16) in UD's five games, reaching base safely in all five games with a home run and two doubles while recording five RBIs and three runs.
