Hanna Garber Earns Second CAA Player of the Week Nod

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware softball senior third baseman Hanna Garber was named the CAA Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. The award, the second of the season for Garber and fourth of her career, recognizes her efforts in UD's series at Towson over the weekend.
Garber led the Blue Hens to its third-straight CAA series victory, posting a .500 batting average with five runs scored and one RBI. Garber recorded multiple hits in all three games against Towson, hitting 6-for-12 in the series with three extra-base knocks. The senior has reached base safely in 12-straight games following her effort over the weekend. Garber went 2-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored, helping the Blue Hens take game two of the series. She followed the performance, going 2-for-3 with an RBI double, walk, and two runs scored to secure the series win in the weekend finale.
Delaware will remain on the road for a midweek nonconference matchup at Saint Joseph's on Wednesday. First pitch in Philadelphia is scheduled for 3 p.m.
