Men's Golf Preview: CAA Championship

Delaware concludes its 2021-22 regular season Sunday through Tuesday when the Blue Hens compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf Championship. Nine CAA teams will compete for individual medalist honors while eight will be eligible for the team championship, with both titles earning participants automatic qualifiers to the NCAA Championships.
Teams will play 54 holes on the par 72, 6,787-yard Dataw Island Cotton Dike Course, with action beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and Monday before Tuesday's final round starts at 8 a.m.
The Blue Hens continue to be led by Roberto Nieves, who is averaging 69.83 shots per round. Nieves finished sixth at last year's conference tournament at two under par. Sparky Ariyachatvakin, coming off a second place finish at the Wildcat Spring Invitational earlier this week, carries a 72.04 stroke average into the championship.
