Ariyachatvakin Shoots 68, Moves Into Sixth Place At CAA Championship

SAINT HELENA ISLAND, S.C. – Blue Hen sophomore Sparky Ariyachatvakin carded a four under par 68 to move into a tie for sixth place following Monday's round at the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf Championship.
Ariyachatavakin carded six birdies while making just two bogeys during his second round on the par 72, 6,787-yard Dataw Island Cotton Dike Course, and is tied for sixth place among individuals with a three under par 73-68=141.
Charleston's Nevill Ruiter leads the field at 11 under par, while his teammate Kieron van Wyk is three shots back.
Roberto Nieves recorded three birdies during his 73 round on Monday, and is tied for 10th place with a one under par 70-73=143. Egor Zubov, whose second round featured four birdies, is tied for 20th place at the tournament at two over par 73-73=146.
Michal Bargenda is tied for 33rd place with an eight over par 77-75=152, while Jack Halleron is tied for 38th place with a 12 over par 78-78=156.
Delaware posted a 289 team score on Monday, and is tied for fourth place along with Elon with a 582 total. Charleston leads the eight-team field with a 555 score, followed by UNCW at 564 and Drexel at 573.
The final round of the championship will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
