Cross Country Announces 2022 Schedule

NEWARK, Del. – Ready, set, go…the University of Delaware cross country team is ecstatic to blaze the trails this fall as head coach Ryan Waite announces the 2022 schedule.
With another competitive slate on tap again for Delaware, the Blue Hens have six meets on the schedule prior to hosting the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) conference championship.
Delaware kicks off the 2022 campaign with hosting duties of the Delaware Opener at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3 in Newark, Del. from White Clay Creek State Park. The Blue Hens will remain in the First State to compete in the Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) Fall Classic on Friday, Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. in Wilmington, Del. from Carousel Park, an event the program swept the top-five scorers to win the Classic a year ago.
UD will also compete at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by University of Minnesota (Sept. 23), 48th Annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University (Sept. 30) and PSU National Open, hosted by Penn State University (Oct. 14) before hosting its annual invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m. from White Clay Creek State Park to close out the regular season.
Delaware will be hosting the Men's 10-field and Women's 12- field CAA Cross Country Championship, which will be held on Friday, Oct. 28 in Newark, Del. from White Clay Creek State Park. The NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional will take place on Friday, Nov. 11 in State College, Pa. hosted by Penn State University.
