Sabev Ready for European Championships

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware swimmer Toni Sabev is set to compete at the European Championships that begin Thursday, August 8 and run through August 17.

One of the largest swim meets in the world, Sabev, a native of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, is slated to compete in the 50 and 100 breaststroke. Sabev will be the first Blue Hen swimmer to compete at the highest level in Europe.

A 2022 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Individual Second Team Scholar All-American, Sabev earned All-Colonial Athletic Association Honors in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay, and 400 Free Relay during his freshman campaign.
