UD Men Second, Ariyachatvakin Fourth After First Round of Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team sits in second place while Sparky Ariyachatvakin is tied for fourth following Sunday's opening round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge.
The Blue Hens recorded a 281 team score on Sunday and are second out of 13 squads, behind only Presbyterian at 278.
Ariyachatvakin carded a four under par 68 on the par 72, 6,921-yard True Blue Course and is three shots off the lead. He was two over par through 11 but recorded six birdies during his final seven holes to finish the day at four under.
Owen Manchester, who fired four birdies on Sunday, is tied for 14th place with a two under par 70 while Hugo Kedzlie, who also recorded four birdies on the day, is tied for 21st place with one under par 71.
Casper Nerpin carded an even par 72 to end the day in a tie for 28th place, while Xiong Da shot a three over par 75 and is tied for 50th place. Egor Zubov, playing as an individual, is also tied for 50th place after firing a 75 on Sunday.
The second round of the three-day tournament will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Monday, with the Blue Hens teeing off at 9:15 a.m.
